1990 C&C 37/40+

Anacortes, Washington

$75,000

Mezzaluna is a fine example of one of the most popular C&C yachts to come from the design team of Rob Ball, chief of C&C's design team from 1973 to 1993. She is 39'6" LOA and 100% muscle, although Mezzaluna is set up to be easily handled by just two. She is actually a forty footer with a beam of nearly 13 feet. If she seems like a big 37 footer.........well, she really is. In a 2000 review in Sailing Magazine by Bob Perry, Perry says Ball told him they designed a 37 foot interior and then drew the ends on her to make her a 40 footer. Mezzaluna is believed by this writer to be a 37/40+. She has the triple spreader rig and 8'3" keel of the R model, yet she has a sumptuous interior and full transom of the 37/40+. Her bridge clearance is 59'. She was designed to be a successful racer and promises exhilarating performance on all points of sail. Her powerful masthead rig and deep fin give her superior upwind point and her 770 square feet of sail will keep her moving smartly in even the lightest of air.

She is by no means a stripped out racer, however, even though her performance might suggest otherwise. Hers is a comfortable three-cabin layout with an owner's stateroom aft with queen sized centerline berth, super comfy v-berth, spacious saloon, generous galley and head with separate shower. She has hot & cold pressure water, 3-burner stove w oven, refrigeration with a freezer box, forced air heat and much more to keep her crew in comfort and safety.

  • 35hp Universal Diesel w three-blade Max Prop
  • Harken furling system
  • Keel stepped triple-spreader rig with rod standing rigging
  • Ullman 135% furling jib, low hours
  • Full Battened mainsail on slides, Racing Main that loads into luff groove
  • Radar, GPS, full instrumentation
  • Deep Fin Keel
  • VC Offshore Black bottom paint
  • Bags of additional sails including 3 spinnakers & pole
  • Dodger (removed and in storage)
  • Spares and Safety Equipment, PFD's

Beauty, power, comfort, exceptional construction quality. Mezzaluna offers exciting sailing and high end C&C comfort below when it's time to ride on the hook and enjoy the cruising life. Never forget that every C&C has been built to withstand ocean going conditions whether you are contemplating offshore voyaging or just gunkholing the Salish Sea. Put this one on your list and give us a call @ Pacific Cruising Yachts.
